Tactile Revolutionizes the Daily Lives of Field Sales Professionals Through the Power of Mobile Sales Productivity

Redwood City, California

Unveils breakthrough new mobile apps - Tact Hello, Tact Peek and Tact Go - to dramatically improve the productivity of salespeople, while simultaneously increasing CRM adoption

Wins in the enterprise with new mobile-first CRM deployments at The AES Corporation and BlueLine Rental

Tactile, the company on a mission to make the world a happier place to work, today announced breakthrough new mobile technology that dramatically improves the daily lives of salespeople. Tact is the award-winning, mobile-first command center designed specifically for field salespeople, combining the tools they use everyday -- phone, email, calendar and Salesforce CRM -- into one seamless mobile experience that works online and offline. Today Tactile is unveiling new products that empower salespeople to achieve significantly higher levels of productivity while on the road, using the unique power of mobile devices.

Today's smartphones and watches offer features that desktop platforms simply cannot match, such as cameras, GPS and real-time push notifications. Tactile is pioneering the mobile-first approach to sales and leveraging these technologies to improve the day-to-day workflow of salespeople as they interact with their customers from the road. Tactile is releasing brand new products as part of its flagship Tact mobile app: Tact Hello, Tact Peek and Tact Go.

Mobile Sales Productivity Takes Off

Mobile technology can dramatically improve the productivity of salespeople. The Mobile Sales Productivity category recently made its inaugural appearance in the Gartner Hype Cycle for CRM Sales:
"Mobile sales productivity apps will increase sales adoption and improve data quality by using a less intrusive approach to collecting sales data." [Gartner, Hype Cycle for CRM Sales, 2015, Robert P. Desisto, Tad Travis, July 13, 2015] View the report here.

Comments on the News

  • "Despite everything we can do with our mobile phones and watches today, sales technology hasn't changed much since salespeople were carrying laptops around," said Chuck Ganapathi, Founder and CEO of Tactile. "Today we are breaking new ground by taking advantage of the amazing innovation that Apple and other phone manufacturers have packed into their devices and giving salespeople an entirely new way to be productive on the road."
  • "Using Tact to increase our sales productivity, engage with our customers more deeply, and gain a competitive edge is core to growing our business," said Frank Roth, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BlueLine Rental, a leading provider of commercial construction equipment rentals. "With Tact as the primary user interface to our mobile-first CRM deployment, our sales reps have everything they need, wherever and whenever they need it, which helps better serve our customers while increasing our sales effectiveness."

Enterprises are Going Mobile-first with CRM

Tactile continues to grow its success with enterprises taking a mobile-first approach to their CRM deployments. New wins include BlueLine Rental and The AES Corporation, a Fortune 200 global power company. These customers join Auto Financial Group, Capalino+Company, Cork Supply and SmartRecruiters and others that have selected Tact since its release in February 2015, as well as thousands of salespeople who have downloaded Tact from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store.

In a recent survey of Tactile customers, salespeople report being able to spend more time selling and less time on administration using Tact, as well as logging more sales activities to Salesforce. In fact, the number one reason that salespeople said they use Tact is to save time inputting sales information to Salesforce.

New with Tact

  • Tact Hello - One of the top requests from its customers, Tact now features a business card scanner that leverages the device camera. When salespeople meet new customers, they can now simply take a photo of the business card and Tact Hello will automatically recognize the contact fields and create a new contact in Salesforce CRM.
  • Tact Peek - Salespeople already love Tact's full-featured email client and its tight integration with Salesforce CRM. Now with Tact Peek, they can attach rich content including slide decks, spreadsheets, proposals, sales collateral, videos and more without running into email size limitations. Recipients can view the content directly on their desktop or mobile browsers. Tact Peek leverages the device's real-time push notifications to alert salespeople when a prospect has opened an email and gives them detailed insight into how much time was spent on each page.
  • Tact Go - Tact gives salespeople a daily agenda of all of their tasks and customer meetings. Tact Go uses the device's GPS to overlay a map visualization of their meetings so salespeople have instant access to driving directions, weather forecasts and Yelp. When they finish a meeting, Tact will prompt them to log the meeting to Salesforce, including voice-to-text notes, and suggest other nearby prospects and customers to visit.

Tactile is showcasing the latest version of Tact at Salesforce's Dreamforce user conference taking place September 15-18 in San Francisco. Find Tactile at booth W150.
