A Glimpse of Community Volunteering at Tact.ai
In this post, Pawan Bhadauria who heads the Tact.ai India organization shares a recent community volunteering experience in Bangalore, India.
At Tact.ai, we have always believed community participation is an integral part of the startup experience. While in Redwood City, California, I used to actively volunteer with team at Second Harvest Food bank. When I moved to Bangalore to establish Tact.ai India, we wanted to continue the tradition of volunteering in our local communities. In Bangalore, we now work with NGOs (Non Profit Organization) like Swanthana & Samarthanam.
Recently, the Tact.ai Bangalore team went to Samarthanam, an NGO working in the area of education for children who come from underprivileged backgrounds and are differently abled. Coming from varied backgrounds and different parts of the country ourselves, we were inspired by Samarthanam's charter which promotes diversity & inclusion. In fact at Tact.ai India, we value geographical diversity to an extent that we put every employee on India map to constantly remind us of the diverse representation we are striving for. We are equally committed to all forms of diversity as a key ingredient of our culture.
